Three more CSA shares to go!

What an amazing season we've had!  The past 13 weeks have bestowed upon us a bounty of delectable flavours, intense colours, and much joy and satisfaction.  Garden work is slowing down and the plants are becoming crisp and golden, a sign that fall is here, once again.  We're experiencing no shortage of beta carotene in our diet; butternut, acorn, Japanese Uchiki Kuri, buttercup, or sweet potato squash for dinner every night!  For my birthday next Friday, I will bake myself a pumpkin pecan cake and maybe even carve a single candle into the flesh of one of our huge carving pumpkins (because 29 candles might cause an implosion!)

Fall is a fabulous time for farmers and we're enjoying every minute of it.  Soon, our landscape will resemble Arctic tundra but until then, we will be preparing the land for hibernation.  Last weekend, we planted almost 100 pounds of garlic for next year!  Planning for the new season will commence shortly.

On that note, we will be accepting applications and deposits for the 2011 growing season in October.  Please email me at for an application and updated information.

To our current customers, thank you for believing in us!  We've enjoyed feeding you and your families!  We wish for your return next season.

Happy harvest!

  1. I like your new business cards. I'll have to get me some next time I visit. Veg looks great. I can't find the other Kale Soup recipe that I made last week. It must have been chucked out with the newspaper. I was milder than the Chorizo Potato Kale soup but just as tasty. Vegetables, Beans and Kale and stock with a blog of sour cream...pretty simple. Have a great 29th um birthday!
